KARATE CAMP-CRESWICK LOG CABINS
Hi all,
Creswick Log Cabin Camp was attended by up to 30 students over the weekend of 11th-12th July.
Lloyd and I organized a Karate camp as a requirement for our upcoming Black Belt Grading in August.
A wide age group and some unpredictable winter rain meant we needed to change our planned agenda.
Saturday rained and rained. Our plans were to utilize the outdoor facilities (flying fox, archery, canoeing, trampoline, bungee run plus more) and mix it up with a couple of Karate sessions. Due to the weather we stayed indoors and focused on having a fun time.
A mix of fun, thinking, bonding and trivial indoor activities made up most of Sat with a solid Karate session. I was pleased to see students push themselves and sweat.
Sunday morning was a 6.45 am START!!!!! Yoga and meditation BEFORE breakfast! I hope most students will forgive me. It was a great start to the day. Even the rain stopped for a little which allowed students to enjoy the flying fox and archery.
I most enjoyed getting to know the younger students and spending time with some new students.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of running and organizing the camp. I hope each student has a moment to look back, reflect and smile. I was proud of all who attended. If you did not make it to camp this time...come to the next one. Great fun, good memories.
Best Regards
Ben

I thought karate camp was a lot of fun. Ben and LLoyd ran an excellent camp. Nothing could have been better except the weather. The activities at the camp were fun and planned out well. The karate sessions were intense and fun. Everyone worked really hard. I really liked the red balls on the t-shirt that Ben and LLoyd made up because it was a real life situation to try and tackle. The TO DO LISTS were good to do and Sensei was funny crowing like a rooster every time the bell went. Good luck Ben and LLoyd on your Black Belt grading.
